Watch Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb Eviscerate Dak Prescott Again Despite Week 3 Apology

It was just two weeks ago that CeeDee Lamb exploded at Dak Prescott during the Dallas Cowboys’ loss to the Baltimore Ravens amid frustration over his lack of usage. It was a terrible look from Lamb, who displayed poor body language throughout the game and allowed his emotions to spill into his performance.

Lamb committed multiple big drops and Prescott barely looked his way as the Cowboys came back in the fourth quarter. The All-Pro receiver did not speak to reporters after the game, but he apologized a few days later and dispelled any theories that he and Prescott don’t get along.

That was a big relief, but Lamb and Prescott took two steps back Sunday night amid Dallas’ sluggish offensive display against the Steelers.

After an ugly red zone interception by Prescott, the NBC broadcast showed Lamb berating his quarterback once again. We’ll defer to the pro leaders, but the slow-motion replay made it look like Lamb was criticizing Prescott’s pitch.

We hesitate to accept the narrative pushed by NBC hosts Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth. Lamb and Prescott hold each other to a high standard. While Prescott appears calm in the midst of adversity, Lamb wears his emotions on the surface.

On the other hand, though, it’s unlike most superstar receivers to berate their quarterback. One incident is one thing, but this is the second time in three games that Lamb has publicly criticized Prescott on the Cowboys’ bench.

Much like Lamb’s outburst in Week 3, the WR’s hands are far from clean. Replay of the interception showed Lamb abandoned his route. There was a clear lack of communication between Prescott and Lamb, but the fifth-year pro began jogging at the top of his route as the quarterback waited for Lamb to appear on the back shoulder.

It wasn’t a great call (or throw) from Prescott, who lost a fumble in the red zone early in the game, but it’s an equally tough look for Lamb for seemingly criticizing his quarterback when he essentially called the play off. I wasn’t expecting the ball.

It’s worth reiterating that Lamb spoke glowingly of his relationship with Prescott when he apologized for his display in Week 3. Perhaps Lamb speaking openly on the sideline has become the norm.
