Hitman: World of Assassination will bring the complete trilogy to PlayStation VR2 this December.

Announced during this afternoon’s State of Play presentation, the entire Hitman: World of Assassination trilogy is coming to PSVR 2 following previous attempts to port the third instalment to other platforms. Developer IO Interactive says this version includes dual-wield and room-scale gameplay, along with new controls and gameplay mechanics. You can check out the announcement trailer below.

In a blog post, IO Interactive also confirmed that this upcoming edition includes “active reloading, body-worn weapons, aiming through the sniper scope, and manual interactions for disguise.” The PlayStation VR2 edition also utilizes Sense Controller adaptive trigger support, while more features and improvements will be announced “later.”

Today’s news comes on the heels of the recent release of Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded, which brought the finale of the reboot trilogy to Quest 3 following Hitman 3’s VR mode on PSVR and PC VR. While XR Games introduced new changes like a revamped UI and dual-wielding weapons, our recent review and subsequent patch impressions criticized Reloaded’s graphics, “flat-screen-style” gameplay, and bugs.

Hitman: World of Assassination is coming to PlayStation VR2 this December, available as a paid upgrade package to current PS5 owners for $10.
